mAth Lewis is the son of a 40-year experienced, professional musician from a family where musicianship dates back 4 generations. He started on piano at age 6, drums at 10, viola and choir at 11, orchestra, guitar at 13, as well as bass, synth, and home made creations (instruments). ItÊ all began in 1994 when mAth got a tascam 424. From there he started studying theory, sound fx, and mic placement techniques without formal training. mAth then started taking recording, theory and history of rock and jazz for 2 years during college.
mAth has always been experimenting with sound - from the tape age to the computer age and all ages in between. He sometimes works at Aurillian Records (owner: Marshall Pierce) in Arcata, CA as a sound engineer.
Recently, in August of 2008, mAth began work on his first film score for the indie horror film "Grey Magic". The film is due in 2 theaters on Halloween in Santa Rosa and Eureka California and is being considered as a mostly straight to dvd release.
The next Noisepsalm working title is "Demonic Symphonic" with a scheduled release date of 09/09/09. The next release is much varied stylistically from The Injured Aerm Army. There are also plans for Noisepsalm to begin collaboratations with Auricular Record's artist Nux Vomica during this coming year.
